About Garland Collects

AboutCollectsGarland Collects is a carefully curated selection of vintage and estate costume jewelry spanning the 19th through the 20th century. Nicole Mann Novick, the designer of Garland Collection fine jewelry, has been collecting vintage costume jewelry for more than a decade, fascinated not only by its history, but by the bold look that so many of these pieces exude. Often inspired by these pieces in her own line – think giant cocktail rings – Nicole regularly layers her own wardrobe with the fine and delicate jewelry she creates with the exuberant costume jewelry she so admires.

As the costume jewelry she wore continued to receive attention along with the fine Garland Collection pieces, it seemed like a perfect opportunity to embrace costume jewelry’s history and influence on modern fine jewelry today, while sharing her own favorite finds with the world.

Having spent years scouring estate sales, flea markets, and dealer’s lots around the world to add to her own growing collection, Nicole will now offer a small, rotating collection of her latest finds to Garland Collection clients under the name Garland Collects.

While we try to offer as much information as possible about a particular piece, whether it is signed by famed costume jewelry designers like Hattie Carnegie, Trifari, Haskell, or Hagler, or even Chanel, Pierre Cardin, YSL, or Karl Lagerfeld – the spirit of Garland Collects is in the inherent beauty of the pieces we favor. Garland Collects earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and brooches do not need to be signed, they simply need to be special. We celebrate and showcase the finds that speak to us, whether for the colors of the stones, the simplicity of a striking design, or the intricate details in a larger than life piece.
